Agreement to terms

By accessing or using Loss Guide (lossguide.org), you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

What Loss Guide provides

Loss Guide is a web-based checklist and information resource designed to help families manage practical tasks after the death of a loved one. This includes a personalized checklist, state-specific guidance, educational articles, and related tools.

This is not legal, financial, or tax advice

Nothing on this website constitutes legal, financial, or tax advice. Loss Guide provides general informational content based on publicly available sources. Laws vary by state, regulations change, and every family's situation is different. For questions specific to your circumstances, consult a licensed attorney, accountant, or other qualified professional in your jurisdiction.

While we make every effort to keep our information accurate and up to date, we cannot guarantee that every detail is current or applicable to your situation. State laws, court fees, government agency procedures, and financial institution policies change frequently. Always verify critical information with the relevant authority or institution.

Loss Guide can be used without creating an account. If you create an account in the future, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating an account.

See our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, store, and protect your information.
